Deal-Jacket Audit Desk for Independent Used-Car Dealers
Every deal file complete, signed, and ready to fund.
Your dealer software prints the paperwork. Your title service files it. But nobody checks the finished jacket for a missing signature, an absent odometer statement, or numbers that don't match — until a lender kicks the deal back or the state asks questions. JacketProof checks every finished deal jacket and reports the gaps to you, every month, at a flat price.
For independently owned Texas dealerships · Document-completeness checking only — not legal advice; your dealer principal approves the checklist
The deal is sold. The paperwork isn't done.
Every sale leaves a jacket: buyer's order, retail installment contract, odometer disclosure, Buyers Guide, title and assignment paperwork, temp-tag records, F&I product forms. Texas dealers must maintain these sales records (43 TAC §215.144). The Texas Department of Motor Vehicles' civil-penalty guidelines range from $500 to $10,000 per violation.
But the first cost is quieter. A lender finds a missing signature, and the deal sits unfunded. A Buyers Guide is the wrong version. An odometer statement never made it into the file. Your office manager learns there's a problem when the money doesn't arrive. Then the chase begins.
Dealers hire title clerks at $18–$30 an hour (Indeed) to process this paperwork. Processing isn't checking. JacketProof is the check.
A desk that checks every jacket for the gaps a lender sends back.

1
Send your finished jackets — masked.
First, black out Social Security numbers, dates of birth, and account numbers. Our one-page masking guide shows exactly what to cover. We never need a customer's unmasked information to check a document set.
-
2
We check each jacket against your required-document set.
We build the checklist from published Texas dealer record rules and federal disclosure forms. Your dealer principal approves it before we start.
-
3
Hear about gaps in days, not at funding.
Every missing, unsigned, or mismatched item comes back in writing within 3 business days of you sending the jacket.

4
See the pattern each month.
A one-page note shows what's missing most, where the process breaks, and what changed — so the same gap stops repeating.
Start with the Deal Jacket Check. It's free.
Send 5 recently completed deal jackets, masked using our guide. Within 3 business days, you get a one-page report naming every missing, unsigned, or mismatched item, jacket by jacket — and what we would do about it.
Four quick questions come with the request, so the report speaks to your lot's numbers. Masked files only: if a jacket arrives unmasked, we delete it unreviewed and ask you to resend it masked.
Flat monthly. Priced on the page.
Deal File Clean-Up Sprint
We build your lot's own required-document checklist by deal type — cash, outside finance, buy-here-pay-here — and use it to audit your last 90 days of jackets (up to 60, masked). You get a written fix-list for every gap, plus a one-page front-office routine your team keeps. A written confidentiality agreement is signed before the first jacket moves. You receive a $475 credit toward your first Desk month if your Desk starts within 14 days of Sprint delivery.

Start Desk 2Additional lots — $149/mo each. Deals above your tier cap are $9 per jacket on Desk 1 and $6 per jacket on Desk 2.
Month-to-month — pause or cancel anytime. Founding cohort: 5 lots, so every jacket gets read properly.
A promise about our turnaround — not your funding.
If we miss our committed audit turnaround on more than 5% of a month's jackets, you automatically receive a 25% credit for that month.
We will never promise that a deal funds, that a lender approves anything, or that your files are "compliant." We check documents for completeness and consistency. Judgment calls belong to your dealer principal and your counsel.
Our promise: every jacket checked on schedule, every gap we find reported in writing, and the pattern in your hands monthly.
Careful document work with your customers' financial information.
- Masked files only — a hard rule, not a preference. Social Security numbers, dates of birth, bank and card numbers, and full credit reports are blacked out before anything reaches us. Unmasked material is deleted unreviewed.
- Document-completeness checking only. We flag missing, unsigned, or inconsistent documents against published Texas dealer record rules. We do not give legal advice or compliance conclusions.
- We never pull credit, never run identity checks, and never file titles. We verify that evidence of your own checks is in the jacket. The checks themselves stay yours.
- Your dealer principal approves the checklist. Every deliverable carries the same line: documents checked, judgments yours.
- Files are deleted after review. We keep only our gap reports, which name documents by type and never contain a customer's personal information.
- Texas independent lots only, for now — one rulebook, learned properly. Franchise stores have factory compliance departments; this desk is built for lots without one.
- If your dealership is under an active TxDMV or OCCC action, we'll tell you to call dealer counsel instead. That's the honest answer.
Are you a title service?
No. Title services file paperwork per transaction. We audit finished deal jackets for completeness — the check after the filing — and report the patterns. Your title workflow stays the same.
Are you lawyers or compliance consultants?
Neither. JacketProof is a document-checking desk. We compare each jacket against your approved required-document checklist and flag what's missing, unsigned, or inconsistent. Legal questions go to your dealer counsel.
What do you need from us to start?
For the free Check, 5 recently completed deal jackets with the sensitive numbers masked. Our one-page guide shows your office exactly what to black out — and it's the same masking discipline the Desk runs on.
We use Frazer / DealerCenter / another DMS. Does this still fit?
Yes. Your DMS generates the documents; it doesn't audit the finished files. We check the jackets your system produced, within the workflow you already use.
We have a title clerk. Isn't that the same thing?
A title clerk processes and files paperwork. The audit adds a second set of eyes to the finished jacket — including deals your clerk processed. You see the misses reported as a pattern, instead of discovering them one lender callback at a time.
How do you handle our customers' information?
You mask it before it reaches us: Social Security numbers, birth dates, account numbers, and full credit reports. A written confidentiality agreement comes before the first paid engagement. We delete files after review, and our reports never contain a customer's personal information.
We're a small lot. Is this sized for us?
The Desk is built for independent lots retailing roughly 25 to 100 cars a month. The founding cohort is capped at 5 lots. Below that volume, the honest answer is the free Check and the checklist. We'll tell you if the Desk isn't worth it yet.
What happens in a heavy month?
Send the jackets as deals close. Desk 1 audits within 3 business days; Desk 2 tightens to 2 business days in high-volume months. That turnaround is what the guarantee covers.
